Were you using cinema/cp9, on canon c100? I exposed keeping highlights below 85% ish, and was wondering if you did the same and do you have much noise in the shots? In speed grade are there any luts you apply or did you grade from scratch? I take it pp cc 2015 isn’t good for grading clog or any log shots?

I see so the transferred clips won’t have their name changed, it’s only adding data that PP CC or Prelude see? Issue is I need to hand off these raw clips to another editor who is on AVID , but I want him to have them properly named – will these renames magically appear as such in his AVID edit or will it see it as the 0001.MTS, etc files?

here’s a pic to show what I’m talking about – so when you transfer only, not transcode, I take it the new names are only good in Prelude, but don’t at all affect the original name of the MTS file? Have a look at the bottom left name then it’s file in “reveal in Finder” name on the right – what’s going on?

I’ve done that and still when I import into latest PP CC 2015 from new folder of transferred clips it shows up as 0001.MTS, etc not the new clip names I gave them in 2015 Prelude. But when I open them in Prelude, the new clip names appear, not the MTS ones…

Any other thoughts? I don’t think I messed up when I transferred the clips to a new folder – they show fine in Prelude, just not in PP CC 15.

So, I’d simply then have to import all 200 clips individually, then tell provide to transfer and rename each clip? Can it do that automatically with avchd?

Is there a link or tutorial somewhere on how to do that in PRELUDE latest?

On future shoots, try setting the lights much higher above talent and a little bit further away – aim them down at a 45 degree angle

No actually they’re not spanned clips – but I do usually right click in my project window and select “import” – is this a problem? And if it is a problem, why, and why would it duplicate so many times as well?

Is this an AVCHD issue with PP CC?

The students really need out of the camera to be able to edit on PP CS 5.5 – no transcoding unfortunately

Any under $3K cameras out there that are good for this?
