got a request to purchase some SONY AVCHD cameras for a college – but they only have Adobe PP CS5.5 for editing – Does Sony AVCHD 2.0 play easily with CS5.5?

    Thanks

In a word, no. You really would benefit from the CC in this case.

I wonder what new 2014/15 cameras under $3000 record in Adobe PP CS 5.5-friendly codec?

Or you can transcode your AVCHD to other compatible formats. But the quality degaradation can’t be avoided…

The students really need out of the camera to be able to edit on PP CS 5.5 – no transcoding unfortunately

Any under $3K cameras out there that are good for this?
