If you are using an H264 .mov as your codec this could be a quicktime player problem… This playback problem is very common on the PC but does show up on the mac every once in awhile. This can be corrected. If you are using H264.mov could you post is somewhere and I will let you know if it is the same problem… The fix has nothing to do with changing any of your correction but a change to the playback settings. You must have quicktime pro ver 7 to do this.

I am using the remote control handle from a Sony VCT series tripod for my sony NX30U.. It has a switch on the side called slow zoom that locks the speed into the very slow speed. This can be turned off. Bought a used VCT60AV for $40. It has the av connector not the standard lanc connector. Took the handle off and put it on my good tripod. works great.

Yeh..Adobe really let me down on this one..No mention that I could find about the menu durations not working in flash.. I had to create 130+ 1 and 2 minute videos to embed in the menus to make it work in flash plus at least 10 hrs to render.. Finally just ended up running it off of a bluray .iso image.

Encore CS6. Windows 7. Bluray menus timeout after 2 minutes and go back to the previous menus and eventually to a video that acts as a screensaver. Works perfectly on the bluray but if I create a flash dvd of the projects the menu timeouts do not work. I could not find anything where Adobe states that menu timeouts don’t work in flash.

I am assuming that you have the latest upgrade to quicktime 7?

Do you save your preview files withing the same folder as the original elements? Do you think windows premiere is trying to recreate you preview files if it cannot find them? Secondly are the preview files in a format that Premiere on windows cannot read and/or recreate? Such as prores or Apple intermediate files?

I switched from Vegas Pro to Premiere. Premiere is a bit clunky compared to Vegas but it doesn’t crash. Vegas Pro 10 is rock solid. Vegas Pro 11 and 12 crashed so much I had to drop them. Sorry to say but you only have to be humiliated once with a client looking over your shoulder and Vegas Pro 11 and 12 would always crash. I tried everything I could to make them work but they didn’t. And I was a beta tester for both of them! I can sit down with a client and be confident that I can work for hours with Premiere CS6 and get the job done. I still use Vegas Pro 10. Sure hope they fix Vegas Pro 13.

Just curious. Do you have Macdrive on your version of windows 7. Can you read and write off of mac formatted discs?

Got it working… I just uninstalled Encore CS6 and reinstalled it and it seems to be working fine now….

Yes you can choose BUILD FLASH. When you create this folder,load it on the flash drive and plug it in a computer. Open the folder and click on the .swf file. It will open up and play just like the dvd or blueray. The computer must have a Flash player loaded on it.
