I have only had a few drives fail over the years. It seems like they either fail when they are brand new or once they have a lot of miles on them. The last drive I had fail was a only a couple of weeks old.

Did you tell Sonnet tech support the behavior the drive is exhibiting?
Perhaps one of the drives in the RAID is failing? -

It happens to me every time. I just have to remember to disable the other 14 channels before I begin logging or capturing. It’s annoying to have to individually turn off 14 channels…

You might look on eBay to find a PCI-X card. I had a PCI-X Blackmagic card when I had a G5.

IIRC the first version of Final Cut Pro was $999 – and you only got FCP.

While it isn’t full on Blu-ray authoring it does at least allow you to make a Blu-ray disk to give to your client. -
