I would really love a copy, too. Would it work with Avid Symphony 6.0.5?

I forgot to mention, we’re on CS5 64-bit on a computer with 24gb of RAM and 6 processor cores.

I’d like to bump this up, as well. We’re experiencing almost an identical problem. For time budgeting, we’ve figured out a work-around in Avid Media Composer. We are working in HD using the Avid DNxHD codec. We kept thinking it was an interlace issue, but quickly discovered that’s not the case. I came on CreativeCow in hopes of finding a solid solution. We’ll try the 32bpc idea someone else offered and see what happens.
I’ve added a sample of our problem below. Also, what else do you use if you’re not using AE for DOF/blur effects? Just curious if there’s a better solution or dedicated software you’ve found. Glad I found this thread!

Yeah I did a google search, and that’s where I found it. I really appreciate it! This is pretty much what I was looking for.

Yeah, but that specific Pioneer is $4000-$5000, with a few of that thousand in features we will never use. $1000 is MUCH better, it falls in our budget.

Flash, or a low quality Quicktime. Flash (On2VP6 or MPEG4) is a less destructive compression scheme yet keeping file sizes small. Most people outside the “tech savvy” world won’t have a desktop application to run Flash, maybe adding a “READ-ME” file with a link to download a flash player would help.
Quicktime is my other recommendation. They tend to be fatter video files, but at least most people can view quicktime files, whether they are MAC or Windows users. Good luck.

Replication and Duplication are completely different. No one will replicate for a dead format. Duplication, however, I can’t help you there.

Wow, thanks for this link, Terrence! Good info.

Honestly, if you are working/editing in DV, I usually have this issue as well. It’s hard to tell since you did compress it a lot on your still photo, but it appears that’s why. Did you shoot your footage in DV?

You need to chill out, Negative Nancy. This guy is asking a legitimate question. You don’t support the image that the Creative Cow community is a welcoming and helpful community.
