It constantly is in the render mode so everything seems to be real time during play back. That was then. This is now. I know there are a bunch of setting within Vegas. I just want to know what is best for multitrack editing.

If things work fine in V12 and not so in V13, and hearing others with these same problems, it isn’t the computer. IF IT IS the computer, nobody can figure out WHY V13 is so unstable and have the rendering issues it has. Maybe it’s just because it’s 13! Let’s jump into V14 soon.

If you can supply computer specs on a system that can run V13 and have NO render issues, let me know.

I had to go back to V12 due to this problem. V13 would start to inject black frames (almost like a flashing effect) on long projects. Same project in V12 rendered fine. Has to be something wrong with the V13 render engine.

Will this update finally fix Vegas 13 to where I can use it in production? I had to leave V13 due to all the unstable issues and the rendering problems.

The rendering problems was V13 could not render projects over 45 mins 100% of the time. It would take me 2 to 4 renders to get a clean render. V13 would start to insert black frames on projects longer that 45 mins. Or it would start to flash between each video track.

Accessing the C drive: When I’m working in V13 and I try to navigate to my C drive from the Explore, V13 will crash; even though the V13 software is installed and running from the C drive. When I move the mouse over the C: icon and double click, the V13 interface turn ghosty white and says “Vegas has stopped working”.

I cannot not read anything on the C drive. As long as I stay away the C drive, V13 will function OK.

V13 was not rendering. Everything in V13 is idle. It happens with simple navigating in Explore. All other 7 drive I can access as usual.

Nothing special. Like I said V12 works fine. But V13 doesn’t like my C drive.

I have 12 drives on my WIN 7 64bit PC. In Vegas 13 I can click/select any of the drives with no issues. Click/select the C drive and V13 goes down in a second.

No problem of this kind in V12.

I’m using Vegas Pro 12 and 13. It may have worked in the past, but no longer.
