November 26, 2014 at 5:53 pmWill this update finally fix Vegas 13 to where I can use it in production? I had to leave V13 due to all the unstable issues and the rendering problems.
The rendering problems was V13 could not render projects over 45 mins 100% of the time. It would take me 2 to 4 renders to get a clean render. V13 would start to insert black frames on projects longer that 45 mins. Or it would start to flash between each video track.

November 27, 2014 at 6:38 pmIf things work fine in V12 and not so in V13, and hearing others with these same problems, it isn’t the computer. IF IT IS the computer, nobody can figure out WHY V13 is so unstable and have the rendering issues it has. Maybe it’s just because it’s 13! Let’s jump into V14 soon.
If you can supply computer specs on a system that can run V13 and have NO render issues, let me know.

I don’t have issues with V13, and I have applied the last update without problems.
If you want me to test one of your files, I can (maybe format of the source file matters). -

December 9, 2014 at 6:25 pmThis thread is a few weeks old now but for posterity and searchability’s sake for future users I’ll note that since V13’s launch I’ve had the same issues as Ken, with black frames being inserted in renders. Sometimes it happens on still photos I’m doing zooms on but only if the zooms rotate at all, sometimes on dslr footage the shooter didn’t have level so I had to put a crop and rotation on the frame even without movement. One time it did it on green screen footage but the black frame only covered the background image that was chroma keyed underneath and not the subject on top. If you get rid of whatever is causing it in one spot and rerender, it’ll just do it in another spot.
It’s weird and disappointing and a complete waste of money (especially since I had completely different issues with Vegas 12 on a different computer,) but on the 3 computers I use none of them have any problems with Vegas 11 so I’ll keep using and enjoying that for another year.
