The problem I’m having is the file opens compressor when I double click on mpeg4, maybe its not self contained and I don’t know how to change that I choose export to compressor choose and mpeg4 file setting drop it in the box and then hit submit, it makes the file but when I double click it again compressor opens up.

so are saying I shouldn’t use compressor just export as per your settings.

ok I’ll Bite so idvd is giving up control, if I was going to buy an authoring software and I’m using fcp what does everybody think is the best and not horrible complicated that it will take me 2 years to learn and appreciate all the features 🙂

ok we just realized that I have 6.06.6 fc and Diana has 6.0.1 but heres the problem we both bought and loaded the same version 2 years ago and I did not buy a upgrade how did I get a newer version and can she get an upgrade for free?

When you say software update you mean go to the apple icon and run software updates right? We currently both do this so I know we have the same updates. Is there anything else?
