InDesign has a few presets that should work fine. Print quality is really suited for laser color output or, if you have a really good inkjet printer.
Press quality is the next which uses 300 dpi across the board for all images and files.
The 1 x/a formats are good and passable but also less flexible as they use across the board settings to help insure predictable output.
Either way, within InDesign you can specify the output dpi for images.
You select to export a pdf, save filename and location and then you click the Settings button and go through them all.
As for multiple pages, Acrobat allows you to open a multi-page pdf and then save each page as a separate pdf.
In Quark, you just create one big massive postscript file (or better yet, split it into two files) distill them and then use Acrobat to save out separate pages.

Actually, even 6.5 will export if you have Flash 8 Pro installed. Flash 8 has a separate installer which will install the proper plugins for apps like AE, Premier and such.
As for the quality of the vector, could you increase the size of the file (dimensionally) and then render down to the final swf? Don’t know if that would actually improve the visual quality.
I’ve only exported to swf with images so I don’t have any problems.

What you’re seeing is referred to as “Stitching” and it occurs where a vector images butts up against a raster image…such as the actual frame in InDesign (always a vector whether stroked or not) and the imported psd file.
They will appear on the printed image if not taken care of. The short story from Adobe is that any printer worth their salt should be using a current enough RIP to properly rasterize a pdf in either X1a format.
However, if you’re creating the pdf yourself, besides using something like PitStop, the two things you can try are:
1. Open the Transparency Flattener and move the slider to the rasterize side. This will essentially make the InDesign file more of a big image rather then embedding postscript data for font files and such. If you’re going to print, there’s absolutely no reason not to do this. For a text searchable pdf however, this would hinder those pdf abilites.2. Create the back ground of the psd file to match the area in the InDesign file. Depending on the complexity of the image, this can be an easy near bullet-proof method or a long but easy near bullet-proof method.
There is another way though. Save the file as a postscript file and rasterize the file in Photoshop so that you’re creating big image files rather than pdf files.

Well, it’s not exactly like Illustrator, but, click the object to rotate, select the rotate tool and where ever you click with the rotate tool on the object will become the focus point for the rotation.

select an empty text frame and choose the style. Then place the text. It will keep all the bolding/italic and such but apply the font.
Also, set the main style font before drawing any text frame.

Also, be sure you’re not selecting TrueType if you’re on a Mac. You might have to select a different font. If you don’t have both the screen and printer font, C4D usually doesn’t see the type.

I’m such a newbie I can’t believe I’m even going to suggest something but what about grouping 10 cubes (in your pattern example there were 11 colors but I’m taking one out for explanation) and then just placing instances of that original grouping? In one fell swoop you can add 50 instances which would all repeat along the x axis.
Then you could just change the original 10 when needed.

Too much commercialism and ‘get to market’ mentality doesn’t always push technology nor industry in a good way despite what some think.
If I could speed up an old IIci, I’d bet that would be more reliable! I will always opt for stability over performance. When you know what you’re doing, time doesn’t matter…(unless you’re rendering stunning 3d illustrations or video of course!)
