    Hello –

Does anyone know how you place text with the current style? At the moment I’m placing text and the style defaults to times.

    Thanks in advance!

select an empty text frame and choose the style. Then place the text. It will keep all the bolding/italic and such but apply the font.

Also, set the main style font before drawing any text frame.

A couple of questions, first: are you placing type or copying and pasting? What program and format is the original text in? Are you using CS or CS2 of InDesign? Are you bringing text into a text frame with existing text or will starting each text frame from scratch work for you? Thanks…that should point us in the right direction to solve your issue.

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks. Really should have worked that out myself. Been working the wrong way for months.
