I’m trying to create some 3D text within Cinema 4D, but when I try, nothing appears in any of my windows. Any suggestions? I can make it in Illustrator, but it sure would be easier all in one program.

Text is created as splines which are a non-rendering geometry type when used by themselves. You have to put your text into a Extrude Nurbs object to define how C4D creates a hull from the splines.

Also, be sure you’re not selecting TrueType if you’re on a Mac. You might have to select a different font. If you don’t have both the screen and printer font, C4D usually doesn’t see the type.
