  • Quicktime pro does not ask me if I want interlaced or progressive – so I guess it was interlaced.

Would a 720X480 frame size cause playback problems?

  • thank you,

We knew it had to be something simple, but since we never use accounts, we were clueless,

    Hey,

The pull down menu of utility lets you turn off journaling. No need to re-format. Really bad design on the radio button that only lets you turn it on – but not off.

Been there, tryed to fix it. After effects has a wide variety of de-noise plugins available. Some of them are associated with keying (remove noise to get a better key.) The plugins do reduce gain noise, they create a weird smear or blur.

How well they work depends on your oprginal footaqe.

You did check out CGM’s and nattress filters for FCP, right?

  • Thanks, i spent way too much time trying complex stuff…

After over 20 years freelance director, I’ve done quite well without a regular accountant or lawyer.

The computerized business and tax programs are just as good or better most of the time. The only people I know who got audited, used CPA’s who appearantly “pushed’ alittle too far.

Of the court cases that actually get filed, 95% are small claims or district court where you don’t need a lawyer. A big dollar case could be anything, from standard business to entertainment specific. You’re better off hiring a specialist in the feild. A entertainment attourney is not the right guy for a workmans comp case. If its out-of-state, you have to find a local guy anyways.

I am a business owner. For over 15 years I was a freelance director-editor. Now I own a video publishing company. The following rant applies to businessmen, not freelance artists. In my younger days I actually fell for the bull**** line that it was wrong to compete against previous employers.

Your previous employers call you scum for “stealing” clients. Yeah? Well, how come they do it all the time?

Almost every single business owner I know began their business by

  • Thanks for the text site. Good info.

Weirdly enough, the AE text looks okay, just okay, on NTSC output. Which is weird because the FCP generated text looks really sharp on the computer monitor and the AE import looked horrible. Yet they looked pretty close when output to NTSC. Weird.

    Thanks,
