Is there a particular (pardon the pun) reason why Autodesk doesn’t want to update to Particle Illusion newer engines? They have a new Product Manager who seems to aggressive about getting the application to the next level.

Thanks Aharon. I appreciate that feedback on a workaround. Also, that good to hear that 3D is coming. I’ve been dealing with all of the folks that have been hyping Trapcode Particular as the solution. Things is I’m committed to the MAC platform and Combustion 4 (mac). So, it would be great for P_I to add this and other features. I would be happy to see a better UI (e.g. sliders for adjustments) and 3D for sure.

I opened up CS2 and CS3 and they both DON’T have any export for .ai. Just Export>Paths To Illustrator.

I’m not that proficient with Photoshop so I don’t even know what you’re referring to when you say paths menu and how many layers. If you have time I’d appreciate the guidance.

Also, I could send you this logo and maybe you could make it where I can Import/Merge the right file in C4D.

That’s my point. I don’t have Illustrator just Photoshop CS2. So, I’m stuck, huh?

    Any suggestions?

So, what’s the difference between Particular and Particle Illusion? Is it just the 3D aspect or is there something else?

No, man. I saw it last year before I purchased C4D core version. The only reason I forgot about it was because it cost $295 to subscribe.

I’m familiar with the 3D Fluff stuff. Janine is an awesome C4D user trainer.

Thanks for the info on Cineversity. I had not visited it in a long long time. It appears to have been upgraded with much more info and training. I look forward to delving into it once I finish lynda.com training.

I’m primarily interested in using C4D with Combustion 4 and Motion 2 for design and commercial stuff.

Planning also to purchase the MoGraph and Advanced Renderer modules here shortly.

    Thanks.
