Steve, I don’t know if its a good idea or a bad idea. But I had this 2 monitor/1 TV set-up with my audio rig, running an older Radeon 5770. It worked well. But then found I was not really looking at the third monitor… I guess because of audio monitoring restrictions, I could not mount it in an ideal location.
I have no idea how you will manage color over all three monitors…and that point I was not really concerned about color

That is true, Bob. It is an art, no doubt.
For my purpose most of my work will be viewed on the web. So I was trying to establish a best practice and get my output calibrated as best I can. The hope beng that on average when viewed on uncalibrated monitors, people would see a decent picture
And yes, my other applications automatically use the installed default windows color profile. Some better than others. For example, Photoshop CS5, will change profiles as you drag your image from one monitor window to the other. Chrome uses the default installed profile for the primary monitor (though this behaviour keeps changing with versions) regardless of where you view the window. Picasa, interestingly, uses the default profile for the monitor its started in, regardless of where you then move the window to.
But I cannot make Vegas use my icc profile. Apparently in Vegas 9 (or was it 10) there was an option to force the secondary display to use a custom ICC profile. I wonder why they took that out…

February 6, 2014 at 7:25 pm in reply to: “Close media files” option not working. PSD and VegasThanks for the info, Bob and Steve. I guess we wait for an update. I have written to SCS technical support.
I am using layered PSD files and I cannot get a tif file to spread out as layers across tracks.
In the meantime – a sort of workaround. Use the “Open In Graphic Editor” script from https://sony.vegas.1.free.fr/ assigned to a keyboard shortcut. In the settings for the script choose “open as copy and save as take”

February 6, 2014 at 4:18 pm in reply to: Seamless .PSD files edit from Vegas 12. Is it possible?Sorry to bring this thread up again. But does anyone have a solution to this or is this a known bug. I have the close media files checked but this does nothing for me and i am unable to save psd files without restarting Vegas.
thanks

Hi Andy,
Read your post and decided to go and get Vivitar series 1. Your footage sold me… looks great to me!!
Was wondering if you could tell me what adapter worked for your t2i. The Vivitar series 1 lense I have ordered has Canon FD mount.
thanks!

March 2, 2010 at 2:36 pm in reply to: Script – add images to track with position specified by a text fileAwesome! Thanks Edward. This is a great forum. Could not ask for more.
I’m off to figure this all out. See if I can dive in and get all this to work. If I can get it to work will post it for others to refine and use.

March 1, 2010 at 5:05 pm in reply to: Script – add images to track with position specified by a text fileThanks for the prompt reply, John! Very useful resource. It answered quite a few questions that I had all in one place! Appreciate the help!
Can anyone point me to a script that reads data off .txt files. I’m not much of a coder (labview is all I do) but probably not a bad “tweaker” of scripts 🙂
thanks

The other thing you could do is go to the Effects tab of the text box and add a large feather. This will make a box, albeit not a rectangular one, around the text. I use this for YouTube videos and it renders the text quite readable

You might want to check with another Blu-Ray player to make sure its not simply an issue between your player and the specific brand of media you use.
