Hey Glenn.
I used DV for a commercial in Autumn 2020 where I was cross-cutting media (iPhone, RED, DV) and the trick to importing your DV footage is to use iMovie with the correct cable.
iMovie recognized the camera instantly and I was able to log and capture easily that way.
I did the same thing in the fall of 2019 for a short film, using DV.
In 2020 I believe I was on MacOS Catalina 10.14… I think. I might have been on 10.15 at that point.

First, your G5 hates you for asking of it so much.
Have you updated FCP?
The latest version (not brand new 7) runs smoothly with Compressor.Assuming you’ve shut everything down and re-started, the next thing to do is trash your preference files for both FCP and Compressor. Those can often get buggy. They are located in your Library in the Home folder and end in ‘p.list’.

That I’m aware you can only copy and paste attributes. However, if you are able to drag all the pieces of one angle into one line in your timeline, you could easily select all those clips and past attributes to all of them at once.
Another way that could be much more time consuming is to export each angle with the colour correction on it, naming it exactly the same as the original clip. Be sure not to save over the original clips. Then remove the original clips to a different folder and place those new colour-corrected clips in the place the originals sat. Then re-connect.
The multiclips should then become colour corrected.

No, I don’t have to use it, but the image is better when I am using it.

Well, I can say that this is the first time I upgraded and it seems to make a difference. I had no real choice as I have purchased the Keylight plug-in for FCP and suddenly my system was having issues with scrubbing over multiclips or doing basic edits. I could be maxing out the system I suppose, but it seems to be working better now with the upgrade. If anyone has any thoughts on the Keylight issue, I’m all ears.
