  • Possibly with Trapcode Particular or Form with layer emitter and custom particles. At least that way you can change the logo/shape/text that you want the particles to generate easier.

And lots of green screening to get those particles.

That video has been generated programmatically in Processing (= name of software).

(You’ll either have to learn that program real well or contact the guy that created the video.)

If nothing else, you can save the RAM preview as a file.

Sounds very complex. If you can upload a picture or two of what you are trying to achieve, perhaps there is a whole different approach someone can suggest for the problem.

This is definitely a case where reshooting is going to be at least 200 times faster than trying to remove it in AE.

DUIK can’t do 4 bones. Would it work not to make the last part IK…?

I saw someone recommending using the puppet tool for the 4th joint here:

I watched a part of the tutorial. Based on that I would say that you need to use the glass effect to distort a white to blue to black background (mainly white to blue) to get the water look, then use another copy of the same particular layer (or set of layers) as a track matte to cut it out of the background. Probably more complex than that, but that being the central idea.

  • I don’t know what the “best” way is, but you would import the image sequence (as footage) and export it (as footage) in a format that Premiere can import. The best file format depends on what you are doing with it. I’d go with the same format as the rest of the files in the project, or one that doesn’t reduce quality, uncompressed AVI or MOV for instance. I guess it is mostly a question of delivery requirements.

  • A couple of things, the first one being the likely main issue:

    1) Element is not meant to be added directly on the text layer. Instead create a new solid that is the size of the comp, add Element to it, select the text layer as custom text layer in Element Effect Controls, and only then enter Element Scene Setup and extrude the text.

    2) It is probably better to create the plane from the Create button at the top of Element interface. You can create basic primitives from there. I don’t have the plane model which came with Element V1 so I couldn’t check if that had anything to do with the issue, but the created Plane Model worked just fine.

The text layer in your sample file was huge, probably because you had to enlarge it to cover the comp. No need for that doing it as per step (1) above.

Hmm. Maybe just compress them in some other way — ZIP archive or something? (Almost) every conversion reduces footage quality.
