Hello there! Congrats on your new upgrade! Happy to hear render time is better. As for the preview, did you try to enable Dynamic RAM Preview? That makes you manually set how much RAM your computer uses for the previews.

Are you able to connect your TV to your computer where you’re using OBS? Maybe via Screen Mirroring?
As for playing with the text scroll, I don’t think you can in OBS unfortunately. You can use the little eye icon to make it start when you want to, but not automatically. You might want to do that in Vegas like you said, and add it as a video source instead of creating it directly in OBS. That way you can time it beforehand.

The only thing I’m thinking of is going in the Pan/Crop window, right-click inside and choose “Match Output Aspect”. Not sure if that would solve it, but I am unsure as to what’s causing the black bars.

Of course! You can do so by adding a media scene, then choosing the desired path for your video. Just make sure to insert the mp4 then move that layer on top of everything else (just like in Vegas)

There is a lot more you can do with OBS. Definitely a useful tool for recording!

That’s a good idea! The adapter should do the job. As for the rolling text, you can create it on obs itself. It would take a long time to write it step by step, so I’m sending this tutorial I found:

Well, I looked at your screenshot, and on the top left side of the screen, the clip looked like it was 4:3. And I saw you had that on the timeline as well. I might’ve seen it wrong. Are you able to provide with a full screenshot of the timeline and the preview so I can make sure?

    Hello again Rob!
Is adjusting the Pan/Crop menu out of the question? I see that the clips you are using are in 4:3, and while the “stretch videos to fill output frame size” helps in some cases, it hasn’t been a reliable solution in my experience.
There is a “stretch to fill” setting within the Pan/Crop tool as well, or you can manually zoom in and copy the keyframe to every other clip. Alternatively, you can fill the screen using the “Track motion” feature.
If you’re not familiar with these features, I am tracking this thread so I can give you a walk-through.

Of course, happy to help! Let me know if you need any extra help with setting up OBS.

OBS is a recording/streaming software which supports adding multiple scenes in one place. So you could connect it to your camera and your TV, making it possible to see yourself on the tv and . add rolling credits for your teleprompter.
