Right click on the time line and select “Render All’. I’d recommend checking out the new manual think you’ll find it answers many questing and is quite useful.

I’m sure Rohit will have more to add, but a few things that jump out to me about your config.

You don’t mention os, but v9 does have better performance… though there are other issues.

This is a single processor config? With one RAM riser… I’m assuming 2x8GB module and 2x4gb modules. This doesn’t give you the triple channel memory config that is best for resolve performance.[Chris Martin] “24GB memory”
You really benefit tremendously from a MacPro with a dual CPU and either 6x4gb or 6x8gb RAM configs, that gives you support for a triple channel memory config which will speed up your performance.

This is probably not the root cause of your problem, but the Q4000 is a very weak card compared to the GTX580/570 or on 10.8 the GTX680.

“Fast” is a subjective measure, I’ve seen FC config barely getting 200MB/s and some that easily get 1200… if you’re on the lower end of that range 16bit EXRs are going to be a problem. Also a factor is the file system you’re using.

Well for P3 you’re really talking about theatrical release… so while there are some monitors that will show you p3 gamut (Dolby, Sony BVW-F/E, Panny BT300u, FSi, DreamColor) eventually you’ll need to look at it on a projector. Most DI facilities are using Christie/NEC/Barco 2K projectors. These are 35K+. Some have tried using consumer projectors capable of DCi gamut (sony vpl-vw1000es/ jvc rs-65) though these are limited to HDMI inputs and HD resolution signals, both of which are a hassle. I can’t personally vouche for these as DCi systems. All of those solutions require careful and ongoing calibration, with a high precision probe.
As far as software for calibration/luts the standard is pretty much light space, sometime cinespace.
But if you want affordable grading for DCI you’re far better off doing a poor-man’s DI and just grading in 709 and converting. You might not be pushing it as much, but at least you’ll know what you are getting and can afford the gear to do it right. Better a great or even good 709 grade than a bad/inaccurate P3 grade!

Considering four x16 gpus sharing a single x16 slot on the host systems with cubix don’t seem to hinder performance much, I would think you’d be ok. But despite meaning to I haven’t tested it myself. Please try it out and let us know!

Marco, won’t the BMDCC shoot ProRes and DNxHD in a log format? Wouldn’t you want/need to take it into resolve or similar to apply a LUT to view in 709? This is common practice for Alexa logC footage for example.

What OS version are you guys running? There was an issue reported by Sony with Os X 10.7.4. I’m running 10.7.3, BTW.
