  • In fcp you adjusted in the deck control configuration…… deck settings in Avid don’t support this. BMD unlike Nitris does not output embedded TC, so you could just adjust your in point in timeline… to compensate. Watch out though, the Qt drivers, used to fluctuate the offset. We had to check it every layoff. Avid uses different hooks so I don’t know if that applies.

Right click on the clip. Select view clip details. new window opens, will update as you move through timeline.

It affects the renders. Sorry… I missed that question.

You could try putting in a beefier card. The gtx 570 with 2.5 ram… or the 580 with 3gb ram might be a good choice. You can use the PC verion on the mac with the latest drivers. The 590 won’t work on the mac due to power issues… and the 580 classified edition will not work either also due to power. If you could wait a few weeks… the 6xx series is expected. They would give you a better performance/power consumption ratio.

Brandon explained it better than I did.

Subs in dcp are different than subs in fcp. Though both are XML.

Check out spherico title exchange pro.

I haven’t used the dcp function. But it does have one.

    Good luck.

  • I don’t think this would be possible unless you are doing it on a fixed z plane. There is the extra variable in 3d space that doesn’t exist in 2d.

You can capture at 60p. You should probably use Media Express to do so. The variable rate flagging will be lost, I believe. However you could shoot at 60 and crank in post.

I believe adobe has said they don’t intend to add support for third party in on location. The problem is on location doesn’t have any hooks for capture cards… Only dv/hdv. I’ve found that scopebox is a handy utility for onset waveform and record.

Change the project setting in the configuration room.

That won’t let you render in the original setting. But you could do a sequence for each resolution and then source render at each res. unfortunately the renders are always at the project res. not the clip resolution.

On location doesn’t support capture from BMD devices. Premiere does, but you’ll need some mighty fast drives. Better capturing 1080p60 through media express. I don’t think variable frame flagging is supported though.
