Thanks. I just tried all your suggestions, but to no avail. Although, it was a little promising that the view options did affect the views of the drive icon and windows. What i’ve resorted to now is using Media Manager in FCP to copy as many files as possible to another drive. If successful, I’ll then wipe the drive and reformat, then test with some small files to see if the problem persists.

    Thanks again!

Media Manager to the rescue! I took the drive to my other Mac. Same things happened. So now i’m copying files via Media Manager, and it seems to be working. Once that is all done, i’ll reformat the drive and start over…but i still wish i knew how to fix this problem. Thanks for your help, though.

    Thanks again!

Thanks. I did that, no change. I would try to copy or move these files off this disk and reformat it, but it won’t even let me copy any files or folders! Yikes! Actually, i seem to be able to “copy”, but i just can’t paste anything that is copied from that drive…

    Thanks again!

MacOS Extended (Journaled) – like my other ones…and i can’t even move stuff to the burn folder to clear it off…but i’m sure there is some simple solution.

So what are you guys REALLY trying to say??? : )

Hey, thanks again so much for the input. I was pretty sure these would be the answers, but have a client who had “heard” they could run FCS on their PC. I first said, “No”, but then thought I should look into it. will now change my answer to, “HELL NO!”

    Thanks!
