i have a file with several instanced smart object. On one of these smart objects i have applied warp transform>warp
all of the layers are unlocked, and some of them are groupedi am using this script in Photoshop CS3 because CS6 limits me to .psd only files when activating this script. Cs3 allows .png which is what i need. I have loaded the script into the plugins folder as a jsx
i am hoping that if there is no apparent solutions to this problem, then maybe there is a some line of code that forces photoshop to force ok, or something like that.

July 10, 2014 at 11:06 am in reply to: How do I duplicate multiple PS layers (lots of them!) so that each layer is below its copyyeah i think there a easier solution, you could just record a action doing following steps
1. Copy leyer or ctrl+J
2. Layer>Arange>Move down layerend script, assign a shortcut and that would be that

thanks for response
the problem is when i use feather on masks, (those basic ones made with pen tool) during render time all those masks with feather dont get rendered
while i’m working those mask work fine, what they are supposed to – but when i render out only sharp fasks(with 0 feather) get rendered
i suppose that two problems are linked together, because on the day i started getting missing effect note, rendering masks became a issue.

let me think —
i seems to me that this shot went through color correction process, so if there a chance that you have the original footage try adding the neat video effect to the original footage before color correction and after
also this footage seems to be of good quality, maybe 12 bit image or 16 so check to see if any 8 bit effects has been used on footage
i’ve seen simmilar problems before – the actual problem is not the noise but the color values that are getting clipped because of the way the effects are combined >>> if so reposition the effect layering
and if that fails to – what i would do if im in a time crunch –
is roto out the base of hair (remove the hair strands) and just replace the back wall
it a good thing she kinda static in that shotgetting a luma key out of this :/ — hmmm
yes the strands of hair are brightly lit but the color is simmilar to the wall color
i think roto would be quicker and then replace the wall image with a still frameif it is a longer shot or gets more complex, then go for the luma key
differentiate the midtone values with brightnes/contrast and levels effect until you get a varyation of gray colors where the strand of hair are close to white and the wall is closer to black and then replace the wall with a still image -
i recently was working on footage that had huge problems with grain – HUGE
after all i learned i suggest you to get plugin called neat video
it will fix the grain you are having on the wallits a really good one, and will fix it easily – just sample the noisy region and will fix it – i dont think that there is gonna be a need to isolate the wall because of the way the plugin works

thanks for help – the link confirmed what i was thinking, those supewhites, blaaast them 😀
instead of exporting in quicktime, i will ask for dpx sequences – hope it fixes it
thanks again

June 26, 2013 at 8:20 pm in reply to: What are the possible problems I might have changing video FPS?so yeah, if your footage is 60fps and you set to be 29.97 or anything less than 60, the footage will appear slower
if set higher the footage will upear to be faster
it all depends what do you want to with it –
as for compostion framerate, if you are again exploring the program keep it same as your footage – if you are planing to do something specific with footage like show it on youtube or tv screen than you would need to change it

June 26, 2013 at 8:08 pm in reply to: What are the possible problems I might have changing video FPS?the default fps when you load footage is 29.97FPS. if the footage is shoot with frame rate od 60 it will still load as 29.97 when you import it into after effects for the first time. You can change that in the preference.
but if you wont to change framerate of the footage individually right click onto footage in project window and go interpret footage and set frame rate to be 60.
framerate is the number of pictures you will see during one second.
“Is there any possible problems I might run into if I continue changing composition settings to 60FPS?”
hmmm, my advice is try different frame rates, just to develop the feeling for that. 60 fps is mainly used for making a slow time effect
i’m guessing you are just exploring the program, if you are using 60fps footage google time remapping in after feects- it will help you understand this subject and you will be able to make speed up/slow down time effect

thanks, but i didn’t do the trick – with it applied the footage showed even more flickering, i did adjust its settings
in the end i stayed with equalizer, i’ve only switched the ordering of the effects and it brought the level of banding to a somewhat minimal level
