Yep, thanks. That’s what it’s looking like. Too bad. would love to get rid of these dang headphone cables. Someday
-
It’s not. But I have limited desk space and get tired of cables and would prefer some good wireless headphones but if there aren’t any suitable wireless studio quality headphones then I’ll stick with the wired ones I’ve got.

Thanks Ty. I have those. Looking for wireless headphones as I said.

Oh my god people. I asked for advice on equipment. I just wanted a few opinions on whether I should buy this stuff or that stuff. Just some simple helpful “I would wait for the new Mac Pro’s” or “Don’t bother with FCP anymore just get Adobe software.” that’s all I wanted. Didn’t want life lessons.
Wasn’t looking for people to tell me how to handle my career.
I’ve been a video editor for the past 6 years, I know my craft, know my trade, know my area and the services that are offered and the ones that aren’t and where I would fit into the market. I have clients, I will have more clients once my post house is set up.I just like to ask the professional community at creative cow for their opinions every so often, and in this case I only wanted some opinions on hardware and software.
give me a break.

October 6, 2011 at 7:15 pm in reply to: Trying to avoid a massive headache. Compression ProblemsSorry. Ok so I’m exporting as a QuickTime using an h.264 codec. 1280×720, progressive, 10mbs,
Maximum render unchecked
Use previews checked.
Not sure what else I can tell you. I’ll try to upload some screen grabs in a sec -
Yeah. I just tested a proxy vs an LT and I really could not see a difference in most cases. And I think if we are finishing out to 720p for the web we should be good
-
Or I guess I don’t even need the proxy files right? I can just have everything as ProRes 422 LT and just edit those files.

August 30, 2011 at 6:27 am in reply to: Final Cut Pro 7 after Mac OS X Lion 10.7 upgradeThere are huge problems with certain plugins in FCp and Lion. Red Giant has posted a couple of issues with some of their plugins and Neat Video Denoiser is also having issues. Basically after updating to lion FCP no longer saves information from plugins. So after you add the plugin and then quit FCP you have to reinitialize the plugin on whatever clips you used it on

The AF100 is indeed impressive but I don’t really want to spend 5 grand right now and I do think it would be good to have a DSLR in my arsenal
