Trying to avoid a massive headache. Compression Problems
Ok here is the problem. I have been using FCP7 to cut a multi camera shoot. Works great. Problem is FCP7 and OSX Lion don’t work well together and two plugins that I absolutely must have MB Colorista 2 and Neat Video Denoiser don’t hardly work at all in FCP7 running in Lion. So I switched to Premiere CS5.5 but PPro’s multi-cam editing is not very good so I have been cutting in FCP and then exporting the XML and bringing that into PPro to color correct and use Neat Video Denoiser (which works fine in PPro).
The real problem is this. My exports, H.264 10mbs 1280×720 out of Media Encoder look like shit. I compared these to exports I did out of Compressor (which is much faster using all my cores than media encoder) using the same settings, and those look just fine.
Am I doing something wrong in PPro or media encoder, or does it just not handle exporting to H.264 very well?
Any help?
