Safe to use ProRes Proxy for the Web?
I have about 88 hours of footage (4 cameras @ 22 hours each) that I am doing a large multi cam edit on. Not all 88 hours into one piece but many small pieces. So far I have converted it all into ProRes Proxy for editing and I intended to reconnect it to ProRes LT when I was ready for export.
However since the end products are going to be on a website would it be ok to use ProRes proxy and just export from that? When I look at it after exporting to h.264 720p and uploading to youtube it is really not bad.
Or am I just going to be shooting myself in the foot by not reconnecting to the higher ProRes LT.
Am I just being lazy and cutting corners?
