    Armando-

I would be happy to help you. There are a few solutions that can work for the workflow you are aiming for, however, I would need to know a little more information about the set up and configuration for your desired workflow. How many systems, System SPecs, etc. Is it possible you can give me a call and we can discuss further? Piston Media Group is a re-seller and systems integrator for audio / video software and hardware and represent over 100 different manufactures. We offer quite a few storage solutions to meet your specific needs and budget. We offer free consulting and design, so feel free to give us a call and we can help walk you thru your options and help to provide you with some pricing for your budget. QNAP is a good solutions among some other greats as well. We are happy to help in any way that we can.

Hello and Happy Sunday. The amount of storage you would need would depend on the resolution and codec of your current media, and how you will be working with and delivering it. For instance 1 hour of 1080 DVCPRO HD is about 60GB. Feel free to give me a call and we can discuss the specifics of you project and what some affordable storage options would be. I am happy to help in any way that I can.

Personally I like JVC. We have a lot of clients that we work with that shoot corporate video and we almost always recommend the GY-HM170U. It is lightweight and very easy to use, and the price is right. We also carry a full line of tri-pods and mics as well. It really depends on what type of quality you are looking for and if you intend to use this package in any other ways for the company. Please feel free to give me a call and we can talk further and help you narrow down your selection, we are happy to help in any way that we can. We are also able to provide discounts that you may not get online.

    Scott-

Good morning! There are plenty of solutions out there that would work and work well on a small budget. In particular ProMAX, they have a solution for small work groups that might be a great option. I would love to talk more about your workflow and discuss some of your options. We carry a number of solutions for small to mid size clients, in fact that is the focus of our business if providing affordable solutions for small to mid size clients. Please feel free to give me a call any time and we can talk more. Our consulting is free, and we pride ourselves on not being pushy and trying to sell our clients they don’t need or can’t afford. Hope to hear from you and hopefully help you find what you need.

September 24, 2016 at 1:05 am in reply to: Cache-A alternative

    Thanks Bryson!

This video will be very helpful in understanding the Xen Data / CATDV workflow. We at Piston Media Group understand the growing concern regarding the EOL of Cache-A. We are working diligently with the team at Xen Data and are able to help implement a transition and workflow for the migration to Xen Data / CATDV. We will be hosting a webinar very soon detailing this workflow. In the mean time, for a 1 on 1 web demonstration where we can discuss your needs specifically, please call a Piston Media Group representative at (888) 829-7320 or email us at info@pistonmediagroup.com. As a dealer and systems integrator for ProMax, Xen Data, and CATDV, we are here to help.

September 16, 2016 at 3:34 pm in reply to: Prefered playout software? HD-SDI in and out

Currently there is no scheduler function for vMix, nor Wirecast. There is a third party software that some of our clients have used for this, however, I do not have any first hand experience with it. https://www.weir3d.de/film/vMixScheduler

If you have some time, please feel free to reach out to me and we can discuss your workflow, needs, and some solutions that might be a good fit for you. Unfortunately though, at this time anyway, I am not aware of any software for live broadcast or streaming media that has a scheduler.

    Fred-

If you are looking for software only, I would recommend vMix. This will play nicely with your Blackmagic card and is based off of a Windows Platform. Also, available in HD & 4k, and will meet your graphics needs. Here are some links to more informaton:

    https://www.vmix.com/software/features.aspx
    https://pistonmediagroup.com/vmix/

Piston Media Group is an Advanced Partner / Reseller / Systems Integrator for vMix. Another great product we carry is Telestream Wirecast. This would also be a solution that would meet your requirements. I am happy to answer any questions you may have and discuss your workflow, please feel free to call me or any member of our staff at any time.
