In general if you shot it in 24p you also could have shot in 30p, if the footage is for television I would shoot in that format from the get-go going forward..

Depending how long your matted clip is going to be, you could always (egad!) go frame by frame and clean it that way, but yes it would have to be very valuable work to be worth it if its more than a few seconds..

You may want to try adjusting the new background that your subject will be over, some are more forgiving than others (for example a lighter color might disguise the white better)..

I suppose by createing 2 circles — one inside the other — and making them grow over time until the first and then second disappear this would be a start, do you know what I’m getting at?

In general you want to steer clear of Serifs for text that is to be displayed on screen — best left to print — especially if there is a lot of it, VERDANA is a standard sans-serif font…

I would suggest that AE is the most fun thing you can do on a computer and the best way to learn is to get in there and PLAY…also A. Rabinowitz’s Podcasts are a great way to learn

This sounds similar to another problem I’ve seen, make sure your default preference (in preferences — general) for spatial keyframes is set to LINEAR
