September 23, 2005 at 11:23 pm in reply to: chapters are not rendered if I produce an MPG2 despite selecting the correct optionI managed to open a DVD on my desk top PC & play through it in Windows media, until it crashed until some apparent plug in problem…..
I think I am beginning to understand, but it seems to me that you have to produce the DVD files within DVD Architect then?

I am playing the MPG2 file, not (ie. VIDEO_TS folder or an *.IFO
because when I render from Vegas on my desk top, I dont see how to make a video_ TS
I think the Video TS is what you make in Architect, if I am not mistaken
I dont klnow what an *IFO isI make the MPG2 on my desktop, & transfer it to my note book & paste it on the desktop
Windows media player will open it but plays it only was one huge videoI would appreciate more information so I can make this presentation with properly authored chapters otherwise I have to make a DVD & play this with a DVD player

August 29, 2005 at 5:54 am in reply to: horizontal lines & quivering stills very annoyingThanks, I did these things but the response is inconsistent, there are some images that still flicker like crazy
I noted that there is a function in Architect to reduce flicker, but that the DVD then takes much longer to encode, & the resulting MPGs or whatever they are are much larger,

I also have problems buring with Architect 3, especially when I have many Video objects, I found that some of them were not burned at all
So I have to use NeroBut does this mean that the DVDs are inferior, corrupted??

August 20, 2005 at 10:43 pm in reply to: Progressive scan versus upper field/ lower fieldWhat is IMO ?
I try to set the cameras to prog scan before I film any thing, this was easy on my JVc, but on my other cameras, it involves a complex menu
How can I know after capturing, whether those clips are PS? or interlaced?
also what is the significance of the upper / lower field first?

August 20, 2005 at 10:40 pm in reply to: Pixelating part of a moving image to remove ID featuresok thanks
I noted that at times I have 2 name bands, arm & leg,
I had to deal with that by putting up a third track over the other 2 & repeating the process.. is that how you do it? -

I admit I was confused by the termininology cookie cutter… I had no idea what it was for…

I have so much trouble understanding & using those key frames. Do I do the key frames inside the ?track motion or ?the pan crop setting or how…?

Thanks a lot gentleman, you are all brilliant
this plug in installed automatically & addressed an obvious deficiency in Vegas… why dont Sony just adopt it ?
