  • That’s correct. The folder you copied you P2 info into.

  • No this is not true.

If you were take a clip off line and then batch capture it, as long as you have the proper P2 card loaded in the Log and Transfer window, it will recapture the clip regardless if it reverted back to the original file name.

In fact you can select a clip and under the sprocket pulldown select “Revert to original Metadata ” and you will see that the original clip name will once again appear. You can still select your offline clip and batch capture, and it will still capture the proper clip even thought it has its orginal name in the log and capture window. It will not change the name of the your clip either.

Take a look at this video from creative cow and you will see what I am talking about at the end of the tutorial.

    Hope this helps.

I did change the 23.98 Kona setting to 29.97, but the material came in completely out of sync.

I have an AJA Kona 3. There is not setting to digitize 720p30. I can only do that via firewire. I can do it over firewire, but I am using firewire drives for my media. And sometimes I have bandwidth issues.

Additionally, I by transfer it to Firestore I can only run the tape once and then I can make all the clips I need through log and transfer, less were and tare on the camera original tape.

AJA says that it does not have a setting for 720p30 and were not that helpful.

Focus, firestore maker, said it should take all infor via firewre and to call Panasonic. I have a call into Panasonic they are supposed to get back to me within 48 hours.

I thought maybe some had done this before and new if there were settings on the 1200a deck that would make it work.

You need to get an SDI to HDMI converter. AJA has one. It is called a Hi5

I have one and it works great.
