    Hi Guys!

Here is what Sony Support told me to do. Very weird and did no work. The only render I could make was .mxf. Regards! JM

    Hi Jorge,

Thank you for contacting Sony Creative Software.

Lets have you install the SCS application to a newly created administrator profile. This will require uninstalling the software, creating a new user account, logging off the old user account and logging onto the newly created administrator account, then installing and activating the app on the new administrator account. This allows the software to make the necessary changes needed to the registry. Please consult the Help and Support Center in your Windows operating system for specific directions regarding creating a new user account with full administrator rights.

Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features and uninstall the SCS software if it is currently installed.

Now go to My Computer and browse to “C:Program FilesSony Setup” and delete the folders within.

Next, it’s time to create a new user account with administrative privileges. Go to Control Panel > User Accounts. Select “Add New User” and type in a new name for the new user account. When asked what permissions level to assign to the account, select Administrator.

Then go to Start menu and choose “Logoff” or just restart the computer to switch users. Be sure to log into the new user account, reinstall the program, and register the application.

Once the application is up and running you can log back to your normal user account. Now go to Control Panel > User Accounts and remove the test account from your computer.

If you still have a follow-up question on this particular incident, please feel free to update it. If you have a completely different question, please create a new incident.

    Sincerely,
    Customer Service & Technical Support

Tks guys for the reply. But as nobody from SOny Support or the guys from this forum post anything, it seems it is something difficult to solve…
Ans we are the ones to find a solution.
What I did was to split in 10 parts, rendering each by each. Then in another timeline, put them all together and rerender. It worked. Bu still it makes NO SENSE.
I could not use Vegas 11 because the lettering – a lot, btw – came in blank when I made the copypaste process. ANd to write it again it would be a 3 day of continuous work. And I waste a lot of time already. Therefore, the I decided to do what I just said.
But hte problem persists in both machines and for sure is a SOFTWARe MATTERS. And I hope, trully, that someone from Sony will find a way to solve it.
    Regards, JM
    PS:
    Joe,
    it is already off.

    Hi.
I just rendered 8 pieces of 10 minutes each of the 80 min timeline and had no problems…..Very strange.
Any clues? Any connections with op sys? Windows 7 64bit.
    Thanks and regards.

    HiDave!

My board is relatively old… Its an ATI and I just upgrade the software but nothing happened regarding Vegas.
As Vegas changed its way of dealing with memory, preview and render stuff, I gues they are still having some difficulties with this new way of – thinking -.
I will buy a new video board anyway because soon I will work with avchd files.
    Tks and regards.

Thanks a lot for the reply, Dave.
That was the problem. It came to my mind right after
I read an old post here at cows.
I reduced the ram memory to 200 and everything comes to normal again.
The only thing that still bothers me is the fact that when I select preview at external VGA/LCD mononitor, the picture doesnt run smooth as it shoul be and as it does in vegas 10. I guess it is beacause i dont have a video board that enables gpu acceleration. I will buy one and check it out. What do you think??
    TKS!
    Best regards,

May 16, 2011 at 11:29 am in reply to: Print do HDV – Sony Z7U

    Hi John!
I hope you get this post!
After your inicial advice, I started a research and at the end I found out that Yes, HDCAM records 23,98 as it is without pull dowm.
It is the only format that does it. All the others works like you said – inserting and removing pulldown.

I took my original rendered file 23.98fps progressive to the finishing house in order to print to HDCAM tape and it worked. The only thing they had to do was re-renderd it to a prores422 codec because of FCP.

Thanks again and have a nice week!

    Tks.
    I have only Mjpg A or B….
It seems to me I will have to try and see if it works.
Can FCP re-render this format to respro or any other??
    Regards
