That’s true. I did the same thing. Right before I bought the T-Tap I discovered it didn’t work with Resolve. BM Mini monitor is the way to go. Pretty much the same except it doesn’t support higher than 1080HD. But, it’s also cheaper. I have one running with my iMac. It’s pretty good except once in a while it will make my reference monitor freak out. Which then I have to unplug from the TB cable and restart. Also, it gets really hot.

Pretty cool. Alexis Van Hurkman showed off some of the new features in 10. Multiple windows to match color over different shots. Some essential editing tools new to Resolve, which will make a lot of people happy. The UI looks really nice and streamlined. The best part are the new mask features and plugin support. Makes me wish I had it on my current gig.

I’m currently running a 3 monitor setup with FCPX. So, it will be 4k-3 Up. I bet the new 4k apple displays are going to be pretty expensive as well.

I hope the BM developers allow Colortrace to evolve for Davinci 10. It would be great if it could be inter grated into the Conform page.

I did bring my new timeline into the same project. But the new timeline was different enough that nothing really would match. Once I was done using Colortrace the CC clipped showed up fine. I’m talking about knowing which clips I copied my grades to IN colortrace. With so many shots not being able to identify which clips you copied my grades to was frustrating.

What worries me is that maybe after 2 years Adobe decides to raise their prices. Maybe $50 dollars to you isn’t that much, but, what about $150? Also, I know plenty of post houses who’s clients just don’t pay on time. Budgets get tight. You could be ready to fire up the bay to deliver a spot and Oh-no. We forgot to pay our bill! It might sound stupid but how stupid would you look trying to open up an app that just won’t open because you forgot to pay your bill – in front of the client.
I’ll admit I use Adobe cloud now. Only because it was too expensive to pay for the bundle all at once and I liked the payment plan. But, if I had the money no way I would be in the cloud. Now, they have me.
