    Hi Ron,

Try unchecking the “create whitespace objects” option above the text entry window and see if that solves the problem.

    Hi Danny,

You can find a comparison of Invig Pro and ProAnimator on the zaxwerks site. The short answer: ProAnimator and Invig share the same modeling abilities, but PA goes where no other app goes, so far as creating very cool and complex motions with very little effort and lots of control. As of version 4.0, ProAnimator works as a plug-in and as a standalone app.

As for your tree issue, you may be able to apply the maps if the tree leaf square models have the correct uv coordinate data embedded in them. The leaf square models would have to be individuals rather than a single object. The good news – if you create a material with a single leaf, Invig will make it stretch to fit the squares, no matter what the size.

    Hi Arty,

You’re probably right about the box being behind the logo in Illustrator. People sometimes add a background for a variety of purposes.

It may be white on white and hard to see. The fastest way to find out for sure may be to switch the view to outline mode and see if you can find the box outline. It may also be locked, but you can unlock it using Object>unlock all, then delete it.

    Hi Eric,

From the FAQ: “If you are running After Effects 6.5 you must use Classic 3.0.9 or PRO 4.0 or higher. The 3.0.8 and lower versions are not compatible with AE 6.5.”

Also, Zaxwerks.com lists Classic 4.06 as current and compatible with AE7. The best advice would be to use the most current version. Check the downloads section of Zaxwerks.com for updates or upgrades.

    Hi Mat,

The transparency slider affects the transparency of the material you’re editing. If that material is the one applied to all six sides of the cube, moving the slider will affect the transparency of all six sides of that object.

If that material is applied to only some of the sides, the slider will affect the transparency of only those sides.

Also, any reflection map and setting you’re using on the object will make a difference when it comes to transparency.

    Hi Mark,

The image file you uploaded is very, very small. The resolution is so low you’re bound to get stair stepping when you zoom in. s that the size of your final render?

    Hi Mark,

Are you looking at draft or best quality rendering when you’re seeing the jaggies? The faceting setting normally has the most impact on rounded edges, rather than straight lines.

If you’re looking at it very, very closely, it may be your antialiasing setting.

It would be most helpful if you could post an image demonstrating the issue you’re having.

    Very nice model, Serge.

Personally, I favor the RCA 77 DX… like the one I used in college radio. Can’t beat the tone from a ribbon mic like this one.

I may try modeling that one myself.

    Hi lasvideo,

Try 3dcafe.com if you need to, but a model like this should be a snap in Illustrator and Invigorator. Just reposition the pivot point of the clapper set so it looks like it hinges corrrectly.
