    Hi guys,
I’m working in a scene with 4 cubes from illustrator files. I’m trying to make them transparent with the TRANSPARENCY parameter un the object property so tha I can see one cube passing behind the others. The thing is bringing the transparency to 0 or to 100 doesn’t seems to make much difference. Is that how I’m supposed to do it?

    Thanks a lot

    Mat

    Hi Mat,

The transparency slider affects the transparency of the material you’re editing. If that material is the one applied to all six sides of the cube, moving the slider will affect the transparency of all six sides of that object.

If that material is applied to only some of the sides, the slider will affect the transparency of only those sides.

Also, any reflection map and setting you’re using on the object will make a difference when it comes to transparency.

    Does this help?

    Jon
