If you see it in the composition, turn on the little eyeball to the left of the layer. Did that solve your problem?

Here is a tutorial from Andrew Kramer which creates light rays using the fractal noise filter.

The fractal noise filter is completely loopable from within it’s settings. You simply set the evolution options to “Cycle Evolution”, set how many times you want it to cycle before a complete loop occurs, and then you keyframe the evolution to your liking.

If you calculated his movement based on the kicking motion, it still probably wouldn’t look realistic, as it wouldn’t account for things like water resistance. If I were you I would just try and watch some footage of someone swimming and just use keyframes to simulate it. You will want to use a bezier curve for the temporal interpolation of the keyframes, enable the graph view for the position property, then switch the composition into graph view mode so you can manually tweak the curve of the temporal interpolation.
There should be a quick ramp off the start of the kick, and it should more slowly ease into the end position. It will take a little tweaking for a realistic look.

It’s possible your project became corrupted somehow. This can happen if you build your disc, then go back to change something, and try to build again. Some settings will not change without removing the menu from the project, then bringing it back in.
Remove your main menu from the project, bring it back in, and try it again. For an even better chance of success, start a new project and build again from scratch.

With the button selected that will play the movie, in the properties panel, you should see a ‘Transition’ tab. Set the transition to the asset of your transition animation. It can only link to a single asset, so if you want audio with it, you should create an After Effects composition that has the video and audio of your transition and import it into encore using dynamic link.

If both discs are the same brand, I would think the 16x media would be better quality than the 8x, but this is just a guess.

Burn Speed is of course the speed at which the data is burned to the disc. Burning at a faster speed will take less time to burn the same amount of data. The faster you burn, usually the more errors occur on the disc, creating skipping problems. Regardless of what speed your burner or media supports, I recommend burning no faster than 4X for a reliable data transfer.

Cinema Craft Encoder is one of the best software encoders. Arguably just as good is the FREE HC Encoder. These solutions are better than Procoder or the other software encoders.
Dan Isaacs on the Adobe forums has posted some very helpful comments on the best settings for HC Encoder and even offers a complete guide.

There is no way to avoid this, not with any program. It is just how the DVD specs are. You can however create separate menus for each button, and when you navigate through the buttons on the menu, have it auto-activate the button and take you to the next menu where the description updates.
There are a few problems with this. Any audio you have for the menu will restart when you navigate to the next button, software dvd players will not auto-activate the button when the mouse rolls over, and it’s very tedious to set up. I would advise against doing it.
