Are you using Premiere Pro’s built-in title tool? Just want to be sure what we’re talking about.
If so, are typing in the title tool, or using copy/paste out of another application? If so, what application?

Additional information: running on a WIN7 in a Dell T7600, 32MB RAM, K5000 GPU. Have two identical systems in house. Both have run like champs since 12/2013, and still do – except now for this one user.

Your post resolution will be defined by the output resolution of the Mac laptop and the projectors.
Are you bringing the laptop and simply connecting to their projectors? if so, what connection, and what is the native rez of the projectors?
Are you bringing sound gear for the audio, or plugging into their system?

Also, since P2 has really started to disappear, folks sometime don’t know, or have forgotten it is important to retain the P2 folder/file structure when transferred.

I agree with Sam. The root issue is not the save failures. The true issue you are facing, friend, is constant crashing. This should not be happening. We run multiple systems and they are almost completely free of crashes. They just run and run and run.
The crashes are a symptom of a much deeper tech issue. This tech issue may well also explain why auto-saves are failing for you.

Is your footage stored and [playing back from the system drive – that is, the same drive on which your edit software is located?
If so, this is a big no-no which may be the root cause, or is masking the real root cause of your playback problem. -
Yes, I would think your re-install blew out your original preferences. What you are looking for is here. . .

Right-click your clip in the bin, and select “Modify –> Audio Channels” from the menu. Here you can define how many channels, and the type of audio you have.
