You aren’t running with El Capitan, right? Because right now at least, that is a big “nope” for CC2015.

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2014 (as of 7/2015)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from HD MP4 and P2 MXF.

Ashley, did the issue begin after you moved to CC2015? Or did it exist prior to that update?

You do not mention what version of After Effects you are running, but. . .

4GB of system RAM is very low to run After Effects.
I am guessing you are creating RAM previews and rendering media onto the same system drive and not outboard storage. If so, the onboard drive is (I believe) a 5400rpm drive on that laptop. Again, VERY slow for After Effects.

From what I looked up, You are also running AMD chipsets, which I believe After Effects is not in love with.

  • Briget, please share system information. It is often essential to figuring out an issue. Also, what version of the Adobe software are you running?

As an example, I have my system info in my signature. That way it is always included when I post.

Hi Sam. I want to be sure I comprehending the finished look you are seeking.

If I am understanding you right, you want part of the letter image to “lift above” the rest of the letter as you read that part. This is different from simply zooming in to a portion of the letter.

Have I envisioned your goal correctly?
