Hey Duke, depends on what and how you are rendering. Some effects, (if any) can be quite render-intensive. Is the added drive a 7200 rpm drive? SATA I, II, III? Having added that drive, how are you dividing up tasks with the drives?

The only one I know of uses the SHIFT key as a modifier, but it will not precisely what you asked.

Holding the SHIFT key while hovering mouse over a video track and using the mouse scroll wheel will change the size of all video tracks. Same thing if you hover over an audio track.

In Premiere Pro, you’ll need to make those audio channel decisions prior to placing in the timeline. You can do it in the bin or in the Source monitor. If it is in the timeline prior to the audio changes, you will have to re-lay the clip for the audio changes to take place in the timeline.

What’s the wrapper/codec/resolution of the clip giving you trouble? Interlaced or progressive?

What are the timeline settings/resolution you are using?

Hi Nelson. Your last was a bit confusing to me. You indicated your timeline was a 720P timeline, but then mentioned going “backward” from 1080 to 720. I’m not understanding.

Perhaps just telling us what the final product you want to have would be will enable us to help you get there.

If it were me, I would make something like that in After Effects. It wouldn’t be difficult, and would have potential to easily swap out logos and re-render.

These files are related to your audio clips. Premiere Pro routinely creates them to provide the visual of the waveform on the timeline, amongst other things.

If you delete them, Premiere Pro will re-create them next time you run the project. Once a project is done, you can delete them prior to backing up the project if you want. They sometimes end up in the same folder as the original media, or sometimes in the Project folder. Thay can also be found sometimes with the cache files.
