  • Mystery Jitter/flicker in Premier sequence but not the source file – how to fix?

    HI,

I have a screen capture in a project that is about to go out to a client. When I play the sequence back the screen capture has a bad jitter/flicker. HOwever, when I match back to the clip in the Source window the jittler is not there.

If I export from the sequence, the resulting Quicktime also has the jitter, which is of course, un-acceptable.

    How do I fix this?

    Thanks,
    Rachel

What’s the wrapper/codec/resolution of the clip giving you trouble? Interlaced or progressive?

What are the timeline settings/resolution you are using?

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2014 (as of 7/2015)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from HD MP4 and P2 MXF.

The footageis ProRes 29.97, 1920×1080. The sequence is configured to that as well

    It’s progressive scan.

    Does that help?
