Yep, you can select all and copy. Open the other Sequence and Paste. All edits will come over.
The only thing you may need to do is set the clips to Scale to Frame, only if they don’t fit to the frame as expected.

Looking at the shape and border size I am guessing your timeline is 720 and you want to export to 1080.
You need to tick the box to fit source to output.
Forget wording and not on computer ATM. But you will know you’ve ticked or switched it when the output panel shows the frame fit the edge/s.

I would say that the video files you have downloaded are not in an editing friendly format with PPro.
One of the greatest misconceptions about video editing applications is that if a video can be played in a media player then it should be able to be used in an editing application.
Playback applications just need to read compression and that is all it needs to do. Editing needs to be able to cut on a frame and hold compression based information in relation to the group of frames (pictures AKA GOP) that comprise of the compressed colour information. An Editing application needs to be coded with the proper compression algorithms to be able to edit them properly.
DV is a good clean format for convert Youtube video to if it is SD resolution. HD resolution may need to be converted to a form of HDV m2t MPEG or H.264 at worst.
There are some free converters out there, just take a look around.

I have seen this when a send to encore has been asked to build before the audio is processed (can see it if you open progress panel from view menu).
My way around it is to just export the mpa, ac3 or whatever audio format you want from ppro to ame. Audio doesn’t take long to process kist let it process when u import it into encore before executing a build.
Replace it in the timeline ans remove the audio from the DL ppro timeline. As the video has already been processed having run a build already you can proceed to build a new disc with a quicker result.
Now the way to completely “fix” the DL audio is to use preferrenes options to clear all media caches, then reboot.
Encore will need to rerender the video too which as you know takes a very long time, which is why I just use ame to make my audio in DVD friendly format replace it and leave it.
Just be patient for encore to cache the whole lot by watching the progress panel.

Photoshop extended CS3 or CS4 can import Video and you can paint, draw etc on a frame by frame basis.
Importing this into PPro as a PSD file will work but be awfully slow to work with. Therefore use the export video option and send it out as uncompressed or another lossless format like the Quicktime>Animation codec.Cheers, Jon Barrie 🙂

April 28, 2010 at 4:59 am in reply to: Rendering/exporting issues with PPro CS4/AME with new monitorMark,
you are correct in your assumption. The higher the resolution a clip and the finer the text the less legible it will become once it is forced into less pixel space. This is just the way resolution works. It appears the LCD upgrade was a downgrade in your projects final clarity. If you are recording in 1080p then you should output in 1080p anything less will be soft.
When I make video tutorials I force my screen to a 1280×800 or 1280×720 res because the text size is based on the resolution of the screen I am working/recording in. 1080p res based text, when watched on youtube at 360p or 480p looks too soft for viewers so I made the sacrifice.

April 25, 2010 at 11:50 am in reply to: Why footage has different colors when displayed by different software?Hi Jan,
I don’t know whether Sony or Vegas own a colour space, but I do know that adobe own the adobeRGB colorspace. A computer screen is never going to show colour the way a tv will. I would theorize that premiere pro is working in adobeRGB And Vegas is just following whatever settings the video card is set to which is what the vlc is doing too.
My same response stands. The colour calibrated monitor should be calibrated to colour bars in the timeline of the app you are working in. Setting colour bars from fcp and the doing colour correction in premiere pro based the calibration from fcp is not valid as premiere pro will be outputtong gamma and colour temperatures differently.
I hope this helps, but understanding and following a path of results don’t always need to go hand in hand. Knowing that my color correction looks right on my monitor and the tv, projector, website is going to be correct is important. Looking at the vectorscooe ans waveform is always going to tell you when a clip is crushing black an white it’s the hues that require a colour bars setup correctly with hues and saturation values.
Colour correction in my experience is more science than art, but it’s the art of the science that seperates graders. 😉
