No Audio found when I made the DVD
I have a made a (auto play) DVD using APPro CS4. Video was ok but Audio was completely missing when I play back the DVD. I have used 1080/25p mode both in cemera and CS4 setting. Audio and Video playing ok on time line. Also I have rendered before I made the DVD. I have used the following method.
File>>Adobe Dynamic Link>>Send to Encore. Encore Launches.Name the disc Auto Play DVD and choosen the location of the folder >>Selected the DVD as the authoring mode >>OK.. Double click the time line object in the Encore Project Panel, which open a Timeline panel in Encore and a monitor windoso I can preview the video.>>Select End Action =Stop. Then File >>> Build >> Disc
This method will produced a DVD after few hours(5hrs)of processing. But No Audio. Video was ok. No error messages displayed found after making the DVD(about missing Audio).Please let me know any other method or how to get the missing Audio into the DVD. Ur help is much appreciated.

I have seen this when a send to encore has been asked to build before the audio is processed (can see it if you open progress panel from view menu).
My way around it is to just export the mpa, ac3 or whatever audio format you want from ppro to ame. Audio doesn’t take long to process kist let it process when u import it into encore before executing a build.
Replace it in the timeline ans remove the audio from the DL ppro timeline. As the video has already been processed having run a build already you can proceed to build a new disc with a quicker result.
Now the way to completely “fix” the DL audio is to use preferrenes options to clear all media caches, then reboot.
Encore will need to rerender the video too which as you know takes a very long time, which is why I just use ame to make my audio in DVD friendly format replace it and leave it.
Just be patient for encore to cache the whole lot by watching the progress panel.

On more thought, it is best to choose PCM instead of Dolby in your encore project settings (although it requires a bit more space).
Windows Media Player and some DVD/BLU RAY players have trouble with the Dolby encoding from Encore.

Thx Vince…The problem was, the DVD I made never played Audio in any HDDVD, BLURay, Normal DVD players and in computer DVD player…Will give it a try by only using “DOLBY” on Audio..
Any other suggestions welcome to try out !!

Sorry Jon, I cannot understand what u talking about..Can explain it in simple english without using any abbreviations..I am amerture videographer for CS4.. Thx 4 ur patienece to explain it again. Also regret any inconvenience caused in this regard.

The Audio I have inserted in TimeLine was in MP3 format mostly.

Mp3’s have been problematic as source audio….some work, some dont. Suggest converting to PCM audio using Soundbooth or other app.

Finally it has worked….The audio has worked on PPro..but not on Encore after using Dynalink…but after rebooting the machine it has worked..Thx for ur advice…
