Richard Sanchez, I would love to get the new Intel, but i just can’t afford it right now. That would cost me at least another $2,000 right? I actually live in the valley myself and if you could recommend the best place to buy mac products in L.A. that would be great.

For right now i’m just trying to maximize the computer that i have, since i bought it about 2 1/2 years ago and it cost me $2,000 then. Any advice you could give me on how to do that, i.e. what type of memory cards to buy, the best place to buy them, would be great.

Thanks guys for the help. Disk Warrior actually came through after about 2 hours and while I couldn’t replace the new directory, I was able to access all the files from it and back up the media. The drive itself may be shot. I agree FireWire drives aren’t the best option for mission critical but unfortunately I had no choice.

Hi Walter,

Is it normal for the Disk Warrior progress bar to show no movement for long periods of time while it is rebuilding? I have used Disk Warrior before to repair a start up disk on a different computer and that time the progress bar seemed to have more real time feedback. Any thoughts?

I really need something where it is very easy for someone to just log in, write their blog, easily add a picture, and then publish it to the website. The problem with blogger.com is to have it look like your website and have pictures in your blog you have to deal with a lot of html code (i.e. referencing a photo on your server). I am looking for a program that makes it simple for someone to sign in, write, add a photo and post. If i need to purchase a program to make this happen that is fine. Any help you guys could give me on this would be great.
