My client is an unavailable solider in Afganistan and probably does not know what codex was used anyway. Do you have any advice in finding out what codex was used for sure and then how I should go about to see if I can add this to Vegas?

I used the end video link and then linked to my media in DVDA 3.0 this worked great. Thanks so much!

Any idea how to link to wmv files or rm files? I have two versions of each. One wmv is the original file and the second wmv is the logo. I want people to click on one and then watch both videos (the feature and the logo). I don’t want to re-render because the original render took many hours and I have several of these to do.

I delete all the material that I thought I was going to use and then never used. It’s nice to be able to identify this quickly.

    Gary,

That was the first thing I checked. They are both 720X480. My generated media was also generated w/in Vegas. Any other ideas?

I would like to add my point to a frame not to a time so I can visually see it how close I am. I think you are still saying that this is a trial and error process. This is OK I was just hoping there was a better way.

I agree. I was looking for a way to get vegas to ignore the fact that the audio and video tracks do not line up perfectly. Most of the time I’m placing the audio/vido clip next to a still so it does not matter that the audio goes into the the area under the still. More generally, is there a good way of triming the sound so it is the same length as the video clip. I can very easily get to the edge of the video clip with keystrock 9 or 7, but I don’t know how to move directly down to the next track. When I try this with the mouse I enevitably click a little to the right or left so they still don’t line up perfectly.

Wow, thanks! That was really easy. Sorry for the novice question.
