  • Hello again,

Does anyone know if I can use 8gm Ram on AE CS3?
I just added 4 more to be total of 8GB on my
Intel Xeon CPU 3.00GHz 3.00 GHz
    64-bit

AE CS3 still sees the 4 gb only when I render.
I’m trying to render quicktime with Sorenson 3.
Do I have to render multi frames to take adventages of all 8 GB?

    Any tips would be helpful.
    Thanks.

  • really? AE can only address 4GB max?

Then, what’s the point of adding 4 more?
I was mainly trying to speed up the AE though.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

    I appreciate it.

I ended up using the plug-in Twixtor and it looks all right, but I’m not happy with the result.

I’ll give it a shot with your tips.

    Thanks.

    thanks for the response.

I got it to work with changing the Maximum cache and enable the cache.

So, the “enable disc cache” keeps eating up the storage unless I delete them, or they just go away?

    Thanks Kevin,

I’m on Windows Vista Home Premium and I was just scrubing the timeline when it crashed.

I’m still not sure what adventages I can take using the OpenGL.

I hope I can prevent it in the future.

    Thanks

yeap, I just did it in 3D max and it was so much easier.
I made a path and used flex and bend.

I don’t know why, but somehow I tend to believe that I can do everything in AE and end up using 3D max for those type of work.

    Thanks.

is there some setting or have to check in preferance in PS?
I drag to select the path and copy and paste into AE layer, but nothing is happening.

    further advise please.
