This tutorial prompted me to buy 3D Serpentine. It’s great being able to do what this plug-in does without having to fire up Cinema 4D. So far it’s moving a little slow for me on an 09 Intel Mac with 8 cores, but I admit I’m probably not working ideally with it yet. Very awesome plug-in.

What about Advanced Render? I just noticed there’s a new Advanced Render for v11.5. Does this mean my AR module for v11 won’t work with v11.5? This whole thing is starting to seem kinda pricey.

I just figured it out. It wasn’t the cache locations. I have a second drive for that. After reading other posts about similar problems I wound up making yet another new sequence and set the preview settings to Quicktime and then pasted my timeline in. It works fine now. I usually work in After Effects so these little things throw me in PPro.

Yes, I always update the software and the OS as soon as they become available.

Problem Solved. After more investigation I found out the problem was indeed the plugin. Seems CS4 now likes to store all of the plugins in one central location. And this confuses Adobe Media Encoder. I have a ton of After Effects plugins and i found that many of them were saved in this new central location. I simply moved them to the AE plugins folder and now Premiere works fine. Kinda ridiculous this happened to begin with though. I lost two days.

  • Thanks, I’ll do that. I’m really just a hobbyist (and a slow learner). The month would be up before I could really use the effects well. Thanks!

Same problem here. I have a new Mac Pro. Using AE CS4 and Cycore HD.
    Particle World keeps crashing AE.

    Model Name: Mac Pro
    Model Identifier: MacPro4,1
    Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Processor Speed: 2.26 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 2
    Total Number Of Cores: 8
    Memory: 16 GB
    Processor Interconnect Speed: 5.86 GT/s

I have a project I constantly make different versions of which relies heavily on Particle World. I’m kinda screwed right now. Any news?

It’s scary how well that worked. Holy crap. Thank you.
I’m not good enough at this to do the duck thing, but even without it — wow. Is there a trick or set of rules for dipping the frequencies in the EQ? Again, wow.
