Definitely not cloned. Clicked copy on folders in source (HFS+) drive and pasted to target (NTFS) drive. That’s what is so perplexing.

Did you try any SPEED changes along with the Sapphire layers? That seems to be the killer.

Thanks. I believe this might be a FC/hardware issue. We can do up to 3 Sapphire layers, but adding a 4th causes system crash. Our EP wants this crazy layered look for a network project and it requires up to 6 Sapphire fx on a clip.

So I’ve been converting .mov to .avi for use in PPro and most have worked without incident using QT Pro. This last large .mov file (5GB) just won’t seem to work no matter the settings I put in. Is there a file max for QT PRo?

Not importing .mov directly to PPro since it crashes every time I attempt it.

    Thoughts?

    Hi Clint,

We had a similar issue to this. Turns out that we lost back focus after the lens was taken off for cleaning and not properly calibrated upon re-seating.

We recalibrated back focus and it worked fine ever after.

June 17, 2010 at 6:40 pm in reply to: SONY EX3 XDCAM 24P to HDV 60i conversion

Network requires 24P shooting and 60i delivery. AVID does not upres 24P to 60i, so we need to transcode with 4:2 pulldown to offline and then upres at the end.

Thanks John. Is the 1400 a different model from the 1400P ?

Is the 1400P the same as the 1400? Is this letter just an ‘add-on’ like the 1200 has an ‘A’ on it?

    Thanks.

Hmm. Hadn’t thought of that. So keep PPro 1.0 on the HD until I flush those projects out for good? OK. Sounds logical enough.

    Thanks!
