In your preferences, set FCP to report timecode breaks after capture. Then it will not abort.

Are you using any media created in the Avid Quicktime codec? This is the error message that comes up….Avid Quicktime media does not work well within FCP.
I have also seen this with some Photoshop files that use features incompatible with FCP or have blank layers. -

I just tried my Panasonic machine (AJ-D640), and I am getting similar issues. There may be an issue with the latest Aurora driver and the latest FCP/Quicktime updates that affects serial control of Panasonic machines.
We should both send Aurora an e-mail about this or give them a call.John

If you are certain the timecode is good, you can set FCP to ignore the timecode breaks and report after capture. This will allow you to get your digitizing done. You should give Aurora support a call, though.

Its hard to figure out what exactly is going on, but this is starting to sound like you have unwittingly created nests. If you are unfamiliar with this function in FCP, you need to read about it using the FCP Help.

try changing the serial protocol from Sony to Panasonic. (You are using RS-422, right?)

Check any other projects you may have had open. You may have another sequence with the same name there that contains your work.
This trips of some people used to working on other NLE’s that can only have one project open at a time.Other than that, check your Autosave Vault.

You will need an adapter unless one of these displays is the older “plastic bezel” model with the ADC connector. The new metal bezel models have a DVI connector.
