Avid can read audio timecode. Premiere cannot.

You may need to manually launch it occasionally for your licensing to be recognized.

Sometimes color grading can introduce visual artifacts if done to an extreme (especially in the blacks). If you are grading low resolution proxy clips, you would not know whether the artifacts are from the color grading or compression artifacts inherent in the source material.

I think Alex might be right about the XMP data, so I would definitely give that a shot.
As a side rant, I wish multiple mono tracks associated with video would keyframe at once (maybe with a modifier key) instead of needing to be done individually. I know you can paste attributes, but its a lot of steps. Oddly, this was Avid’s old way of behaving and now it works in the same maddening way as Premiere.

Quicktime Player X will not display the timecode (QTX doesn’t have that feature) , but Quicktime Player 7 will. So if you are expecting to see it in Quicktime Player, you won’t unless you have the old version installed.

If you are syncing by timecode and one item has a timecode 15 hours off from the others, this will happen. You need to sync by in point.

Why are you using multi group? That is for much more complex stuff than a 2 camera interview. Something is confusing Avid (probably timecode), because 2.5 hrs is way lower than the max, but you should not be using Multigroup for this application anyway.
What you want is simply a Group clip. You are probably confusing Multigroup with Group because FCP calls a group clip a multi-clip.

Bottom portion of Sequence Settings. In some sequence presets, the default is MPEG I-Frame, which I believe is 8 bit.

What codec are your previews set to? Change it to Pro Res or some other 10 bit codec.

Try removing “com.avid.ApplicationManager.plist” from Library/Launch Agents and reboot.
