There have been widespread reports of FCP 6.x losing render files with duplicated sequences, and I have experienced it myself.
A workaround that has done the job for me is copy/paste into a NEW empty sequence instead of duplicating the sequence.

Kona has one too. It installs with your Kona drivers.
Look in your AJA utilities folder for AJA system test.

check the cables on the internal hard drive…is it even remotely possible you bumped into it and loosened them up while installing the RAM?

try a new FW cable.
try a different deck/camera.

only limited experience with it. you get no realtime, as its not supported by RTxtreme. I’ve not used it since switching to the Kona card.
They claim to have superior color fidelity to other codecs. Definitely worth giving it a shot with a fully functional demo.

Never tried it with the Kona, but the Sheer Video codec is very good.

you should probably composite the image over whatever background you need to before converting it to Flash, as Flash is heavily compressed.

I’m on a G5, not Intel…getting the same thing with duplicated sequences.
If I create a new sequence, then copy/paste into it instead, it doesnt happen. The renders stay linked.
