No. All rendering is done with the original media. I have not experimented with taking the hi res footage offline…perhaps it renders with the only media available, which would be the proxy. This would be easiest to do by putting the proxies and hi res media on different HDs.

Not sure I fully understand what you are trying to do, and I read this several times…but here goes…
If you set up a template timeline with a black clip or slug and then blade (add edit) it every 15 seconds, you can then simply replace each section with real footage pretty quickly. There are several techniques you can use for that using a minimum of keystrokes. Use the slip tool to change the previewed area once the footage is edited into the timeline.

I agree. If you have another another display card to pop in there that does not require the Nvidia Web driver, I’d give that a go.
Note: I sold my Nvidia card and switched to AMD recently, as I got tired of waiting for Nvidia Mojave compatible drivers.

I’ve used the ones from both Logic and KB Covers. They are pretty much the same price for a full sized keyboard and perform identically (30-40 dollars). I bought them at least 5 years ago and they still look brand new, so I know they are durable. I’m used to the feel, as far as the action is concerned, and it doesn’t bother me.
I’ve seen others that appear to be made of the same material, but don’t fit quite as perfectly and are thinner. They stretch, come off and get annoying. There are a few knock off brands from China, not sure that’s true of all of them.

Check to make sure its actually recognizing the Media Cache on the RAID and not re-creating it on your local volume.

He’s looking to output each camera on a different monitor simultaneously. Multicam or PIP will output both cameras on the same monitor. He needs two separate streams of video output.

No NLE does that. You need dedicated multi stream playback software for that job. Use the right tool for the job.

Open the file in QuickTime and export it to Pro Res or GoPro Cineform directly from Quicktime Player. That should fix whatever is wrong with it.

How about using “Make Offline” for the original file (do not select to delete the original file…just in case this doesn’t work), then Link Media to the new file. If the timecode matches, your edits should be intact.
