  • That worked for me too!
    Many thanks,
    John

PS. Do you believe that I have two Ki Pro Minis and still use them often in the last 9 years?
    Bravo to AJA people, too!

Hi Mike, thanks for your answer.
The AJA Ki Pro Mini does not record unless it recognizes signal coming from SDI or HDMI input. There is a way to trick it – to fool the system and start recording only audio coming from XLR inputs. It is doable with a set of adjustments. I have tried for hours but can not remember the right combination! Urghhhh….
I should have kept a note when I had found that post!
    Thanks,
    John

December 23, 2009 at 4:07 pm in reply to: Novice to FCP – which RAID configuration?

    Hi Roli!
    Thanks for the prompt response.
My question should probably be: Is a one (1) RAID enough to store work AND use it as a scratch disk at the same time?
Then: An external RAID e.g. a RAID 5 will keep me safe enough from a possible disk failure. Should I also RAID the internal drives for safety purposes?
About RAID choice I will get the G-Tech one. I ‘ve sen them all in IBC at Amsterdam this fall and the G-Tech looks very robust and carefully designed. The question is “how to use it”?
Happy holidays to you to Roli.
