If you have room tone without the voice, blend that in when the voice isn’t there. That way you’d have a consistent background ambiance. I’d try a broadband NR plugin. As stated, it won’t remove the traffic noise, but it may reduce it a bit. Good luck.

AJA and Blackmagic Design have external IO boxes that take the output of your computer and convert it to SDI and/or HDMI which you’d feed to the HDTV.

Another thought is to change the first clip the way you want it, then Copy it, select the rest of the clips, then Paste Attributes to change all the clips at once.

Good reasonable list. Some cage systems come with rails and baseplate so there might be savings there. You mention you have the filters, but a new owner might need to invest in IRND and other filters-maybe a variable ND. Only other optional item, as you have the Zoom, is a mic preamp.

You might need the mpeg-2 Playback Component. Here’s info about that from Squated5

“The installer of the MPEG-2 Playback Component may refuse to install the component in Lion and Mountain Lion. Apple states the component is unnecessary in Lion and Mountain Lion, however MPEG Streamclip still needs it.

To install the component in Lion or Mountain Lion, please download MPEG Streamclip 1.9.3b8 beta above; inside the disk image you will find the Utility MPEG2 Component M. Lion: use it to install the MPEG-2 Playback Component in Lion or Mountain Lion. The original installer’s disk image (QuickTimeMPEG2.dmg) is required.

The current versions of MPEG Streamclip cannot take advantage of the built-in MPEG-2 functionality of Lion and Mountain Lion. For MPEG-2 files you still need to install the QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component, which is not preinstalled in Lion and Mountain Lion. You don’t have to install QuickTime 7.

Why not simply use your self-contained DVCPro HD master. You gain nothing but size by going to ProRes. And you said your DVD guy was good with the DVCPro (HD). Send one to him and have him confirm it’s good to go.

I’ve not seen that error, but when odd things happen with FCP I trash prefs, run Disk Warrior and then repair permissions.
